VERSCHLIMMBESSERN(German)
To make something worse by trying to improve it. In English, we could coin a new word for it: to disimprove.
POCHEMUCHKA (Russian)
This is a person, usually a small child, who asks too many questions: “Why this? Why that?”
EYESERVANT
A person who works only when they know they are being watched.
TSUNDOKU (Japanese)
The habit of buying and hoarding books you willl never read.
KAAPSHLJMURSLIS (Latvian)
Feeling cramped on public transport, squeezed in by other passengers.
MUDIT (Sanskrit)
To be happy about someone else’s happiness.
STURMFREI (German)
Having the house to yourself when others are away.
